Our Holiday Open House

Isn't it true there is always a little let down after you've been planning something for so long. This was true of our neighborhood Holiday Open House. I was sad it was so short. Two hours was simply not enough time.

It seems in the winter we all hermit in out homes and never see one another so I thought it would be fun to get everyone in our direct neighborhood (my circle, the circle next door and the houses running along the main road of both of the circles) together just to chat and send Holiday wishes to everyone. Our way of seeing our neighbors and saying Merry Christmas. I've been thinking about doing this since last year. Last year I was pregnant and too busy with a church calling to put any thought into it. So this year I was determined to do it. And it turned out great. Of course you always hope everyone you invite can attend. Those who aren't able to make it are greatly missed but all who came had a ball (at least I did). The adults chatted and ate the kids ran around like crazy and we all loved being together. Just what the Holidays are all about. It was the perfect kick off to the Holiday season.
I wish the pictures showed the platters a little better. I had so much fun putting them all together.
