Juicing

In an effort to get some more vegetables into my kids and out of my own curiosity, we have been juicing! The Mumfords and the Lees have been my motivators behind trying it out! We've had it for two days and we're really enjoying it. The boys really get a kick out of it. Doesn't Peter look so happy? They love to see it juice and Peter loves to choose the combinations. I like to hear him say..." And put some spinach in there mom".. i think joshua would rather drink his food so it works well for him too. tonight we all tried the most beautiful drink. chock full of beets, apples, oranges, and a cucumber. I.think we all decided, we don't like beets in our juice.

Redecorating Again.

I love adding new things to my house. Decisions are in the works. I've been enjoying dreaming and shopping. The dreams are: paint the office because I don't like the green with the yellow. The couch is a little big for the room. But it's growing on me and it's a nice place to hang out, take a nap. Make some new curtains for the kitchen. Cover our destroyed coffee table and make it an ottoman/ bench (See swatches) we have a nook in the kitchen that needs a desk and a little lamp. A rug would be awsome in the kitchen and music room, and comfortable sectional for the living room. With some lamps etc.... So maybe in 5 years we can follow through with all of those plans. I'm excited!!! I love to plan it. It's going to be so cute!

Still Decidin

I realize thanks to some help from my Mom and Mary-Jane that Icwas not very clear on my last couch post. I'll try to be more clear this time. I am wanting to get a new couch for our living room. Something comfortable and cozy yet still says "model home". So I have been hunting this is the one I've thought most about. I can get it really any color. I'm thinking maybe a charcoal would be nice. Kind of a blank palate then I can accent with whatever color I want to. We'll see.

Valentines Day or Halloween

Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between the two. Both girls came home with big bags of candy.... It was fun to see them sort through and read into what this valentine meant or that. "Look mom this one has xoxo". Says Alyssa to me. I love my girls.

Today Janay and I had a chance to have a little girl time and it was super fun. Thanks to Jon for watching all of our kids so we could go to the spa for prdicures and lunch. Such a great time!! Love you Janay.

Family Night

Monday night we opened our cute Valentines from Grandma and Grandpa Castleton. I think it made our kids night. They loved it. Then we had a little FaceTime with them. It's so nice to talk face to face sometimes even if group face timing does always seem a little jumbled. We love and miss you Grandma and Grandpa.

Okay I have 4 kids!

Today I did all my major cleaning in one day. Vacuumed, dusted, bathrooms, mopped, and all the laundry through including a set of sheets from the boys bed, which they are sleeping on tonight ( not like the usual couple nights of just blankets untill i get the sheets back on) Miraculous!! I don't think that has happened since Joshua was born. I even took dinner to a neighbor. As I was feeling so proud of myself. I had a big realization as everything fell part in a matter on minutes. Joshua while I was distracted pulled one of our games apart. Not just everything out of the box, which it was but actually broke the game board. (Cranium). And yes, the many cards to this game everywhere. As we were cleaning that up Peter informed me Joshua was playing in water in the bathroom downstairs. Down I I go to stop him and find there is already about a 1/2 " of water on the floor and water was found dropping down the walls in the hallway! I just cleaned that bathroom!!!!! Now I have more laundry to do. Then as we ran up that catastrophic I waked past the exercise room to find a few puzzles everywhere. Then to top it all off Anna kicked the soccer all into a wall hanging we have downstairs, it fell on the Scentsy and wax went all over. As I was cleaning up the puzzles I realized we always get a mess or two like this when our kids are this age. I distinctly remember finding Anna with confetti and puzzle pieces and every game we owned out. and i remember Peter doing the same when i was i the back room nursing. Both times however I had a new baby I didn't expect things to stay straight. Yes, I have 4 kids still too early to expect things to stay straight. Maybe when they move out. Maybe I don't mind the little messes so much. They are worth it!

Eye Surgery!!!

AMAZING!!!!! I can't beleive how we'll I can see and how good my eyes feel. Ryan and the boys accompanied me to my appointment yesterday. It only took an hour with about 15 mins in the actual operating room. I am loving it and the eye doctor today said my eyesight will just get better, which is hard for me to believe everything is so clear. Anyway. Thank you Ryan. Can't wait to go swimming and experience the freedom yay!! The kids were so great all day. When we got home I went to bed. Ryan fed the boys and since it was early out he went to get the girls from school. They got some frozen yogurt and went with him to the warehouse at work. They loved it. They were super helpful with everything. Maybe because I had to wear strange eye protectors all day, whatever the case I was way greatful. Katie brought the kids a snack and I had a great visit with our neighbors the Cardons. Great day!!

Good Grades and Krispie Kremes

Krispie Kreme doughnuts gives away free doughnuts for good grades. If you take your report card in they will give you half a dozen doughnuts. The kids love it. Today was parent teachers conferences so right after we headed over to get our Krispie Kreme doughnuts. Piping hot!! The kids love to watch the process. I wonder how long they would stand and watch it if I'd let them. I'm proud of my girls they are wonderful students. I love to go to our meetings with their teachers and hear them rave about how much they love having my girls in their classes. I'm a very lucky mom that way. ... So far....

Art Night

The kids always get so excited for art night at the school. This year was no different.

Also had my pre-op appointments today. Lasik Thursday . Yay.
