Sometimes I just want to sew.  Made this for my friend who's obsessed with these dogs.  I love the color of the fabric.

Ran a Midnight 1/2 marathon with Ryan.

Ran Top of Utah 1/2 marathon with a group from our ward.  So much fun.  Thanks to Mom and Dad letting us use their house.  and especially to Rob and his Roommates for letting us kick them out, washing sheets etc...

We also did our first triathalon.  first I did a sprint length Triathalon, then Alyssa, Anna and I did the kids length together.  One of the funnest things I have ever done.

Hi, We're Still Alive

Of course you all know that, and most of you know what has been going on, but here are some cute pictures of our summer happenings...

I love Fabric

I am wanting to teach the YW some sewing skills they were all saying the other day that is something they want to learn. Someone suggested we make aaprons. Well this just happens to be something I've been wanting to do for sometime. So I figured this conference weekend while I tune my ear to conference. I could sew up one or two just to see if it's an easy enough project for beginners. I chose a pattern with no gathering or button holes. We can even leave the pocket off if we need to. I also am planning to use Alyssa and Monet Wilson as my guinea pigs. I figure if they can do it especially Monet who is 11 ( nearly) then my Yw can do it. I am just excited to have an excuse to buy cute Fabric. Thank you Hobby Lobby. $4.50 a yard isn't too bad a price. What do you think Mom? Too ambitious for beginners or do you think they'll be okay. Tips please for teaching a group!

Decorating

Although I have spent an enormous amount of mental energy ( too much) on decorating plans. A few things have changed but my style has stayed pretty much the same... Generally neutral, safe and really just adding one or two things to what we already have. So here is where I at. I still want to recover the chairs in the living room and at the desk, i still have a few pictures to hang, and I need to get an extension chord so I can actually turn in the lamp on the desk. At least I'm not feeling like I'm in the middle of moving anymore. Here are a few pictures.
