St. George Marathon now accomplished. For those of you who don't know I registered for this marathon 2 years ago and was not able to run it. So this was even more rewarding knowing how it felt to be on the other side of things and want it so very badly. It was a great race. Besides the hills- I mean up- which nobody seems to mention when talking about this race. Yes there is alot of downhill which people do tell you about but to those who may want to run this in the future, (especially if you train in Syracuse, where there are no hills) know there are definate inclines every few miles clear up untill mile 23. I did however, beat my last marathon time- (my only marathon time) by 45 mins. So I was very pleased. I, of course am already excited for when I can run my next, and break the 4 hour barrier, but for now I'll take 4:20. We had a great weekend- kid-less (thanks Sandy Family- enough thanks cannot be given), enjoying conference and the company of good friends (thanks Hansens you guys are great)!! thanks for including the picture of me stuffing my face -- it's sadly realistic of what my weekend entailed.
